Travel Tips

Holiday Travel

When it’s time to get your holiday travel plans in order, stay sane with these simple tips.

Avoid Peak Travel Days
The busiest days to fly are those immediately before and after the actual holiday. If possible, book your flights for at least two days before and after any major holiday.

Pack Light
Packing light saves time and energy when traveling. One tip is to ship gifts and souvenirs to your destination ahead of time. Be sure to allow plenty of time for your package to arrive, as some holidays are hectic times for courier services.

Be Prepared for Delays
Keep a positive attitude, be mentally prepared for delays. While airlines do the best they can to stay on schedule, delays happen. Bring an inflatable pillow, a good book, your favorite music and a deck of cards. Boredom is the true enemy in these situations, so be prepared to conquer it!

Allow Extra Time
For the smoothest airline experience possible during the holiday season, you should allow yourself plenty of time to get to the airport and through security checks. Plan ahead and avoid last minute errands. Arrive at the airport an hour and a half to two hours before your flight departs, as lines can be extra long during the holidays.
