A cold is not a proper souvenir! To fully enjoy your vacation, travel smart with these healthy tips:
1. Pack a Healthy Snack
Consider bringing fresh fruit or carrot and celery sticks for your mid-flight snack. These natural and healthy foods provide nutrients to help you fight fatigue and feel refreshed once you’ve landed.
2. Wash Your Hands Frequently
A cold can ruin a trip. Avoid cold-causing germs by washing your hands frequently and pack hand-sanitizer for the times you can’t get to a sink.
3. Avoid Jet Lag
In addition to drinking plenty of fluids, dressing comfortably and sleeping on the flight will help you feel more refreshed once you land. Stay in tune with your internal clock by resetting your watch to the time of your new destination once you board. If it is light out when you land, spend time outdoors; if it is night, try to sleep until morning.
